Camping Schaartven

Camping Schaartven is a beautiful campsite for those seeking tranquility, with pitches right on the Schaartven on the edge of the Overloonsche Duinen nature reserve in Overloon. Our campsite, for all campers with a motorhome, caravan, or tent, is the perfect base for unforgettable hiking and cycling tours. Here, you won’t find playground equipment, an animation team, or a soccer field; you’ll find peace. Swimming in our crystal-clear Schaartven is unsupervised.
We are located directly by the water in the woods, allowing you to enjoy everything nature has to offer. Within 10 minutes of cycling, you’ll reach the unique UNESCO nature reserve “De Maasheggen.” Or you can cycle to “De Peel.” Within 5 minutes of cycling, you’ll be at the Overloon War Museum or the Overloon ZOO park. And enjoy a snack and a drink on one of the terraces in our Burgundian Overloon.

For golf enthusiasts, Overloon offers a challenging 9-hole golf course with various water features. Want to spend a day in the city? The train station is nearby, and a 30-minute train ride will take you to the heart of Nijmegen or Venlo.The camping pitches are located directly on or near the water and have greenery, sanitary facilities, a friendly atmosphere and a nostalgic look. We have chosen to use pitches 1 to 11 and 61 to 69 in the high season as camper pitches. As we also like to keep the greenery green, it is not allowed to use plastic or ground sheets. Only the use of air and light-permeable “awning carpets” is permitted.

Sandwich service

In high season, we have a sandwich service. Rolls can then be ordered until 5 pm, delicious fresh rolls the next morning.

If you choose to stay at our natural camping site, you opt for one of the most beautiful spots Brabant has to offer. Here, you won’t have access to electricity, but it’s back to basics in a fantastic location! Of course, you can still use the sanitary facilities at our campsite. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are leashed and not in the water or on the beaches.

Guests with or without children and with or without dog(s): we ask everyone to respect the peace.

Our nature campsite is located across the lake, to the right of the dune and hidden in the woods,
you are here in the middle of nature with your camper, caravan or tent!

Ideal for a “Back to Basic” nature experience

There is no electricity here, but you can, of course, use the sanitary facilities of our campsite. Please note that the latest arrival time for this site is 6:00 PM. ACTIVITIES

In the bustling Overloon, you can enjoy delicious dining, choosing from a variety of restaurants and various terraces. Grocery shopping can be done at the large supermarket, bakery, and butcher. Overloon is conveniently located in a beautiful environment with a very cozy center. It is also very conveniently located in relation to the highways, with its own entrance and exit to the A73 highway, and both Nijmegen and Venlo are a 20-minute drive away.

Nice location for your Camper. Directly on the water. You can relax there. We were warmly welcomed by the owner Sandra. Received all the information immediately. Shower and toilet are kept very clean, something we find very important. Showering is free, so that's a bonus.

The area is also very beautiful and fun for cycling and walking. We liked it so much that we immediately booked again for the coming weekend. Greetings from Nico Eikema and Marleen Smit

This was our first overnight stay with our camper. We really liked it. Super nice place in the middle of the forest, beautiful view of the lake and clean. Very quiet at night, except for the occasional owl.

You can walk straight into the woods and we took a nice walk with our dog in the morning. It was wonderfully quiet now, but I can imagine that it will be pleasantly busy in the summer. We will definitely come back here to experience that😁👍

Camper park 't Schaartven in Overloon. The beautiful camper park 't Schaartven is quietly located right on the water. Places directly on the (swimming) water, and a beautiful area for walking/cycling.

Neat sanitary facilities with friendly managers The site is easily accessible via an automatic gate using a code that you receive when booking.

The Overloon war museum is within walking distance, a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute bike ride directly from the park through the woods. It is recommended to cycle straight through the museum by bike (free). And around the museum you will find all kinds of visual art and old war objects between the trees.

Also a very nice cycling route, indicated with route number, all junctions can be found on the square at the entrance to the museum. Here is also a nice restaurant with souvenirs/model making

In short, Camperpark 't Schaartven is a great home base to explore the Overloon area.

A beautiful place to stand near the water and in the middle of nature. The 1st night with another camper, the 2nd night alone during the storm. The site is closed with a fence and that offers some security. I can imagine that there is sufficient light in the summer, but in the late season it is quite dark on the site, so a little more light would be nice.

The sanitary facilities are neat and clean and the shower is wonderfully warm. A roof for washing dishes during rain would also be nice. It is a nice quiet place, you can plenty of walking and cycling in the area.

Nice and beautiful place to be. If you like the peace and quiet like we do, you probably shouldn't be there when it's full... perhaps the one toilet/shower building is a bit insufficient... but I have no experience with that. We were alone on the field with a beautiful view over the lake. Outside the gate you can walk straight into the forest and you can enjoy a lovely walk and walk to Overloon. It is advisable, as we have had quite a bit of rain now, that it is useful if you have an opportunity to wash dishes outside.

Friendly owners and son who gave me such a cable because mine was too short for the electricity. Top! Furthermore, the sanitary facilities are very clean and excellent. I will definitely come back. Overloon and its beautiful nature, it lured the Road Cassanova's (2 friendly couples who have a taste for camping) to 't Schaartven. A nature campsite...the photos on the website and the rave reviews convinced us and we booked 2 nights. Unfortunately, we were unable to show up before the agreed registration time, but the customer-friendly Sandra and companion Michel did an "efforke" and we were allowed to enter the cozy camping site a little later.

What a beautiful view, many older campers 🙂 After a word of explanation about the site, we were neatly guided to our spot by Michel. And what a place...quiet, beautifully situated on the water, within walking distance of the well-maintained sanitary building. Thanks to the cycling routes that Sandra gave us, we were able to discover a beautiful part of Dutch Limburg again and we can definitely recommend a visit to Graanbrouwerij de Ijsvogel and Arcen Castle. Just like Camperpark 't Schaartven, where you immediately feel at home....

Beautiful place to stay Beautiful pool of water very clean, the place is still developing and in my opinion will keep getting better. Sandra and Michel do everything they can to make your stay at the Schaartven pleasant. We enjoyed a long weekend and were able to enjoy the area while cycling.

What a wonderfully beautiful place! Fantastic location on a swimming pool, pure nature, used the rental SUPs... it was nice. Overloon with its restaurants, supermarket, bakery and luxury ice cream parlor also complete the experience.

We spent two nights at this location and will definitely come back. The owners are super friendly and attentive. And last but not least, the sanitary facilities are impeccably clean. Our only tip would be; the expansion of sanitary facilities to a larger capacity.

The next time we go ourselves we will book a nature spot, there are no facilities here, but no problem for our campers, they are all self-sufficient! Greetings, www.camper71.nl
